Inspired by Casa Estudio Luis Barragán
At his Home and Studio, Barragán turns an everyday element of architecture into an extraordinarily simple gesture. The stairs project from the wall without handrails or visible supporting elements, reduced virtually to a succession of planes ascending against the wall.
Barragán eliminates what we typically expect from a staircase, leaving only the essential: rhythm, proportion, and ascent. Each step repeats a form, building a sequence that transforms the surrounding space.
