In this piece, verticality becomes the channel to explore the direct transit from light into shadow. The vase lifts the weight and tactile texture of the stone to meet a translucent material that passes through it longitudinally. The result is a totem of light where the opacity of volcanic origin is interrupted, revealing inner color and altering the perception of the object as the day progresses.
